1. Mechanical exhaust bypass valve
The exhaust bypass valve boost pressure regulating device is the most economical and simplest regulating device.
The above picture shows the pressure regulating device of the exhaust bypass valve. The actuator in the picture is a bellows type actuator. One side of the diaphragm in the bellows is connected to the exhaust pipe of the turbocharger compressor, and the other side is connected to the spring. The diaphragm passes through The linkage rod is connected with the exhaust bypass valve.
When the boost pressure exceeds the set value, the pressure above the diaphragm drives the diaphragm, overcomes the spring pressure below, and drives the exhaust bypass valve to open through the connecting rod, so that part of the engine exhaust gas passes through the bypass valve, reducing the amount of exhaust gas entering the turbine. Reduce boost pressure.
Conversely, when the boost pressure is lower than the set value, the exhaust bypass valve will be closed, increasing the turbine intake and increasing the boost pressure.
2. Electronically controlled exhaust bypass valve
There is a pressure sensor at the supercharging pressure discharge port of the supercharger compressor. The pressure transmitted by the electronic control unit through the sensor is compared with the pre-stored target set supercharging pressure, and then the electronic control unit outputs the duty cycle of the pulse signal to the solenoid valve. , the solenoid valve controls the opening of the exhaust bypass valve to adjust the amount of exhaust gas entering the turbine, so as to precisely control the boost pressure.
Due to the low cost and reliable adjustment of the exhaust bypass valve, it is widely used in automobile supercharging, but this adjustment method has inherent deficiencies, which will waste part of the exhaust gas, so the fuel economy will be reduced under heavy load.
The next issue will update several other supercharger pressure adjustment devices, welcome everyone to pay attention.
