The Classification Of Turbocharger Is Introduced

Apr 06, 2021

If a car is to go fast, it must have strong power. At present, the automobile power system can be roughly divided into two categories: natural intake system and pressurized intake system. In European sports car, in addition to the BMW car company still adhere to the use of natural intake engine, other car companies in order to enhance the dynamic performance of the vehicle, have adopted supercharging system, for example: Benz sports car use mechanical supercharging system, SAAB is the first forerunner of turbocharging.

In recent years, Japanese cars also began to adopt a large number of turbocharging technology. The natural intake system does not have a supercharger of any kind, but uses the negative pressure generated by the piston going down to suck in the mixture. Although the natural intake system can achieve high horsepower output through the variable valve timing system, the power gain is limited. In order to increase the output power of the engine effectively, the supercharging system is the most effective way.

The most common engine supercharging systems are mechanical supercharging and exhaust turbo charging.
